World Mental Health Day

Every year, October 10 reminds us of something we should never forget—mental health matters to everyone.

Mental health is essential; it is as fundamental as your physical health. It plays a significant role, influencing our emotions, behaviors, attitudes, and decisions, which shape every aspect of our lives.

This year’s theme, “Access to Service: Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies,” reminds us that emergencies do more than destroy buildings and homes.  They also disrupt emotions, minds, and communities. In times of crisis, mental health support becomes even more essential, yet often the least accessible. Access to mental health services is a universal human right.

Let’s use today to pause, reflect, and ask ourselves: How can I take better care of my mind? How can I make it easier for someone else to feel seen and supported, especially when life feels overwhelming?

Sending love to anyone who may be struggling or find today heavy, and to everyone doing their best, in whatever way they can, to care for their mind each day.

So let’s keep prioritizing wellness, breaking the stigma, and offering support not just today, but always.
